Are there any issues changing my 2005 16" alloys for 17" from a 2007 model

so long as overall size (including the tyres) doesnt change it will have no difference...

When you say 2005 (this is T30 model) then 2007 you have the change over from T30 to T31 model, not sure this makes much difference on the models... ET and PCD are identical

when it comes to fitting aftermarket wheels you need to take into account dish etc, as this may affect the clearances when turning! There are lots of sellers on the net saying you can fit 18" upto 20" onto the X trail... i understand an 18" will fit, but have doubts that 20" especially with tyres?

Shouldn't be a major issue - the speedo will be reading under anyway(by around 10%) so even if the 17"s do give you a slightly larger overall diameter you will find that your speedo is actually slightly more accurate!

Be careful, the availability of 17" tyres is dire compared to 16"
