Life on the road John ....the lot of a sound engineer..... wives do need to be pretty accommodating!

Media city is ....what can i say....dull? I hear most of the BBC techs are unenamored....especially with the kit they have to use by default

I'm off for a few days at Duxford IWM tomorrow, hopefully it will have stopped raining, but won't be too icy!

It'll be nice to set up with a Eurofighter Typhoon in the corner! :thumbs:

Sounds like fun - but you can go anywhere with an X-Trail :thumbs:

Yes, but it still cannot fly like a Typhoon..... :mrgreen:

Yes it can - if you drive it on the wrong road at the wrong time - but you are unlikely to live to tell the tale.

Letter came from Nissan as I registered my ownership with them following an earlier recall after I had just bought it second hand hand 14 mths ago as the previous original owner had forwarded a Nissan letter re this to the garage I bought it from. I've had the latest recall work done and the engine seems to have benefitted from the tweak - but then the car seems to run better even when I clean it !! My local Nissan garage has nothing to offer as to why but I see no good reason for not having the work done. Trust this helps

I received the letter last week. Phoned my local dealer, who supplied the car, and the said they weren't taking bookings at the moment as their ECU programmer is broken.

But he added it wasn't urgent unless you are towing in the red-line, and it could wait until the next service (March) and delaying wouldn't risk the warranty. (Call recorded so I'm happy to wait).

I had this from the Warwick dealer, apparently a couple of weeks ago they were doing an update and it failed. Something to do with the battery monitoring in the "tool". It can make the ECU unusable I was told. Anyway they have now had their tool replaced and it now goes in on Weds

Maybe a coincidence, but.... mine had an big overhaul last week, they could not read out the ECU either.... ???? :shock:

So I have to get back in a few days to try again. (new software??)

Hi got mine done today at Taggarts Motherwell only took about an hour car seems fine. I didn’t get a letter found out about recall when I logged in to my You + Nissan web site.
