hi i have a 2006 avantura.

after looking on this site and youtube for my issue ive found out the resistor for the fan has burnt out. its working at the moment as i have farmer fixed it (bodged). but on looking on the internet for a replacement im getting a varied of finds. my part number is 2w6005 but putting that in come with a £50 - £70 price tag. if i search for t30 blower fan resistor it comes up with part number 2w6003 with prices from £15.

which is it i need will the £15 so the same job?

I suspect your car is a T30. Post your VIN, as that will identify your car.

the problem is that the "resistor" is not, it is an electronic device and usually it has been damaged by the motor failing, if that is the case the new one will fail soon as well, in the past I have changed the motor and controller at the same time.

It is a pack of resistors which control the fan speeds. If the pack gets too hot, due to cabin filter blocked or motor bearings worn, then this will fail.

I would have thought a 2006 would have climate control, so the fan controller is not just a pack of resistors.
