Shame that the latest X7 system for my 2009 X-Trail is only 2013 and there is no later update for it. :bigcry:

For those who might be interested. I ran the 2014/15 sat nav update this weekend. 1 setup disc and 4 map updates. In total took just over 2 hours and was straight forward.
Rather than leave the engine running which was what the instructions say, I switched the key (keyless entry) position to 1st accessory position so the nav unit was active but nothing else was lit. I connected a CTEK charger unit (which I have for my caravan) to the battery and just left it for 2 + hours just coming back to check and load the next disc.

Is there a later version than this for the 2012 X-Trail? I believe it's the Xanavi X7 with DVD updates. I'm finding some roads are out of date... Appreciate any hints on where to get the update cheap... as my usual supplier seems to have gone out of business...

Correction: I'm led to understand that the screen above is Xanavi X9

Do any of these updates have postcode or coordinate input yet? And if so would I be able to load it onto my 08 inbuilt?? Think I'm on 2012 update atm.

cheers
jon

The latest X7 mapping, as far as I am aware, is 2013 (which is newer than the 2012-2013 version).

There will never be a postcode option on the X6 and X7 systems as that came in with a later version - and updated mapping will not add a postcode search.

The X9 mapping has both post code search and (limited) speed camera data

I presume X7 is meant John, keyboard error? 7/&, but like you say, were all up the creek with no update paddle! :bigcry:

Yes -I assumed X7 as the "&" is on the "7" key.

I just wanted to know which year version.
