In know, it seems like swearing.... But, is there anyone who has, or have experiences with a Suzuki Grand Vitara, 2.0 or 2.4 petrol? (Opt. auto) Only cars till 2014, see pic)
I wanna know: is the boot comparable with the X-ie?
How are the seats? As good as... etc
Inner room? More, less as...
Gearbox: smooth?
If it's an auto: how does it feel?
Road handling? Better or worse as... etc.
How "does" it terrain? Can one conquest the Alps? ☺☺

Reason I wanna know is, the last build T-30 are minimal 10 years old.
T-31, hmmmm do not like the shape, but, if there is no other choice, I will consider.
Only..., in the Netherlands almost all Diesel (only want a petrol)
T-32: ........ big NO!
A Vitara comes close to the boxy shape I like (Read: as in the T-30) For what I know,
Suzuki engines are good, very good.

Thanks for now.

Must say... I like the spare ON the back instead of IN it (more booth-room!)

Cant help you on the Suzuki, but understand how difficult it is to find a decent replacement for the T30. T31 has the DPF and all the associated issues, T32 is far too complex and many are 2 wheel drive. My T30 has just done 60,000 miles and I'm keeping it!

My Mum has the V6 petrol

Smaller in every way.

I wanna know: is the boot comparable with the X-ie? Boot space isn't even 2/3 of the Exy.

How are the seats? As good as... etc Narrower and not as comfortable in my opinion

Inner room? More, less as...Cabin with me and the lad in the front and we are touching elbows where in the Exy I can get a good swing to slap him down!!

Gearbox: smooth? She has the manual and I must admit the clutch is light and it is a positive box with well defined gates between gears

If it's an auto: how does it feel?

Road handling? Better or worse as... etc. Lighter and narrower so handles slightly better on road

How "does" it terrain? Can one conquest the Alps? ☺☺ N/A as the nearest it gets to going off road is bumping up a kerb!!

I couldn't go to a Vitara from an Exy. Would feel awfully cramped!

Hi Wimbo
Why bother to look. I expect a petrol t30 will go on for well over a 100,000 miles if looked after well.
Mine has 82,000 on the clock and runs as well as ever.
KEEP IT!!!

Hey, thanks for the advice. Never been in one. From the outside (sight) is seemed a good alternative.
But... when I hear the boot is 2/3 of the X-ie's... Hmmm, we go on holidays with the dog and lots of luggage, this year, I needed all the space (and there is a LOT of space in the X-ie!! Now I wonder if I get the same amount in the Suzie... Guess not then.
I will think it over again. Thanks again.

82k wow thats barely run in

Crumbs you folks are in a different league to me, I dont buy a car with less than 100k generally  I suppose I should thank you folks for taking the hit on the terrible depreciation values vehicles have

Only ever bought a car with less than 100k which was the Mrs's x-company car which was 3yrs old, only cos she liked it but today I could have afforded two X-trails for the cost of the depreciation we've had on it :frown:

My best buy was a Renault 25 with 155k on the clock, drove it for 7 years and sold it on with 255k on the clock, total depreciation over 7yrs was £1000  and from memory apart from regualar service items the only biggy was a recon steering rack when she hit 200k.

I know, mine has 107.000 km on the clock. But buying another car is not a question of mileage... Sometimes it's just a change. Same with wife's, ehhh... sorry (Dear, I did not mean it.... Yes dear, I do the dishes the whole week... ) I take that back. As with guitars or so. Sometimes you want the newest or just another.
