Hi Rich, can you tell me what symptoms you had? I've got a 2006 2.2.DCI manual and its recently developed a vibration which is worse when under hard power/ acceleration. Nothing at standstill or lower speeds.

Its not the wheel balance so I'm looking at Clutch/ Flywheel or Propshaft. I'm obviously hoping it's propshaft and not Gbox/ Clutch/ Flywheel as its far easier and cheaper. I'm also looking at replacement UJs/ second hand propshafts so any ideas gratefully received.

I presume you don't need to do anything when removing the prop shaft other than not put into 4WD?....

Thanks, Alex

They are stacked but a replacement of the correct size is not available.

I recently spoke to a propshaft specialist who said they can replace them with a smaller size but they need to be welded in place.

Hi alex,
same symtoms as you described, at first only
felt it auto but slowly started to feel vibration in 2wd as the joint got worse as the prop still spins,
Prop is still off the car at mo and you would not notice
( apart from no vibration) and as you said just dont put in
4wd!
Also good tip if you decide to remove,
Start at the rear diff and work to the front, not like i did
As when removed from front first you find you have to
Hold the prop still while removing bolts at diff DOH!

hope this helps
