Have you seen the Viscol 5w30 Fully Synthetic C3 oil in Home Bargains? Good price and high spec oil. Made by Rock Oil, who are well known for their Motorcycle lubricants.

FULLY synthetic. Do NOT use semi-synthetic or mineral. Again, stick with the C3 specification that the manufacturer demands. You have a choices of viscosity - 5W30, which is what is recommended or 5W40, which is what a lot on here (myself included) use when the engine is a bit worn.

PS Is all 5w30 C4 Oil good for our Xtrails.Baz

You dont need to use C4 rated oil. That is a low ash oil designed for modern vehicles with dpf's and 3 way cats.

It wont hurt if you use it but you wont gain anything and will pay more for it.
