Drivers Seat Height Adjustment

Hi guys,

I'm not the tallest guy in the world so am a bit disappointed that there seems to be very little height adjustment on my 2006 2.2dci Columbia? In fact more than raising or lowering the seat it seems to be more or a 'tilt' function. When fully raised it seems to be the same height as the (un-adjustable) passenger seat, so in which case it is more of a seat-lowering function, am I correct in what I'm saying?

I do not recall this being the same as on my Mk 1 X-Trail Sport-X which seemed to have a fairly high drivers seat position.

Does anyone have any suggestions (other than a kid's booster cushion!)

Thanks for the replies guys.

The seats on the Columbia are manual. As I said in my posting the seat at its highest position seems to be about the same height as the passenger seat, it's the only vehicle I can recall owning that the drivers seat won't adjust higher than the passenger seat. I'm pretty sure this wasn't the case on my Mk1 XTrail Sport-X but I might be wrong, it was a few years ago!

The seat seems to adjust on an "arc" so that you can have it higher at the back or the front and not a global lowering or raising of the seat in a horizontal position, I don't think there's anything wrong with it, it's just how it is designed to work.

Cheers.
